Bon Iver

The nom de band of former Dayarmond Edison lead singer Justin Vernon, Bon Iver is an uplifting combination of wistful indie folk, guarded optimism and drifty orchestral touches that nods towards Akron Family and Iron and Wine.

Finding himself a loose end after the break up of his band, Bon Iver ( which is a deliberate misspelling of the French for 'good winter') began after Vernon moved into a cabin in rural Wisconsin; an experience that proved to be highly generative, and resulting in the album 'For Emma, Forever Ago', which was released in the spring of 2007.
