Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is the alter ego of american singer songwriter Will Oldham. He trades in introspective, often quite dark alternative pop to devastating effect.
Highly prolific, since the Prince first saw the light of day in 1999 on the stunning 'I See A Darkness' album, there have been 12 official Bonnie 'Prince' Billy albums. Recently there has been a far more obvious tongue in cheek element to the music and 2009s Beware album represents his most ambitious work to date. Famed for intimate live performances that captivate with their naked vulnerability he is one of the most emotive and evocative artists working in music today.
