A band that truly revels in splatter horror imagery, with song titles like 'Meat Hook Sodomy' and 'Fucked with a Knife', middle America hates Cannibal Corpse with the passion usually reserved for abortionists, and unsurprisingly their overly graphic records have found themselves banned in certain States from time-to-time.
Despite standing on metals fringes, however, Cannibal Corpse's over-the-top blood-letting has won them a rabid cult following, and enjoy the status as one of death metal's most popular bands, as well as being one of the genre's biggest sellers. Let's just say it takes big balls to get into one of their mosh-pits.
