Charlotte Hatherley is used to the spotlight; after gigging in London for two years, she joined Northern Irish rockers Ash aged just 17, and made her live debut at V97 just two weeks later in front of 50,000 people.
Launching her solo career in 2004 alongside her Ash duties, the pair eventually parted company in early 2006 after a successful nine years. Now a full-time solo artist, Charlotte’s second album ‘The Deep Blue’ has earned rave reviews from the music press, while her live reputation grows with every show.
Like Graham Coxon before her, Charlotte has proved that long-term Britpop success is no barrier to a fruitful solo career.
