There seems to be a strange allure to electronica that sucks in hardcore punk singers and makes them think that they can be the next Phil Oakey or something.
In some cases this can go badly wrong, like the frankly horrible Head Automatica, but in the case of former American Nightmare singer Wesley Eisold's new project Cold Cave, the results are quite frankly spectacular.
Sounding like Cabaret Voltaire or Psyshic TV playing in some blasted Mad Max style post industrial futurescape, you have to keep telling yourself this was the guy who was wailing "I was an easy male fuck" in your face a few short years ago.
