Elvis Perkins

His father, Psycho actor Anthony Perkins died of Aids when he was 17, and his mother, photographer Berry Berenson, was a passenger on one of the planes that flew into the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001.

So Elvis Perkins is a singer/songwriter with no shortage of personal strife to draw inspiration from, and little wonder then that his songs are brooding, melancholy affairs.

Far from feeding from his parent's fame, he has toured with Cold War Kids, Willy Mason and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and released an acclaimed debut album all within the last year.
