Fleetwood Mac

We love Fleetwood Mac because they never stay the same. In the 1960s, they parlayed blues rock. In the 1970s, they moved into soft rock territory with great success, as 'Rumours' becoming one of the biggest albums of the decade. Its band members came and went; an ever-changing line-up led to its vague classification as British/American outfit. Drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, who formed the rhythm section, were the only two who stayed throughout.

Today, the still-touring band is made up of Fleetwood, McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham who produce a more pop-rock sound. But its classic hits like 'You Make Loving Fun', 'Tusk' and 'Go Your Own Way' still receive massive radio airplay. Fleetwood Mac have transcended the slew of over-stylised music fads that have characterised the past forty years, making them truly a band for all eras.
