Virtual band created by Damon Albarn of Blur fame and Jamie Hewlett - creator of Tank Girl.
The animated band members are 2D (lead vocals and keyboard), Murdoc Niccals (bass), Noodle (lead guitar) and Russel (drums). Albarn is the only permanent member of the band - their music is a collaboration between various musicians.
Their debut album sold over a million copies, their follow up 'Demon Days' went five times platinum in the UK and earned five grammy nominations.
