An exuberant eight-piece from Manhattan, Hexa are motley bunch whose music is rooted in doo-wop, girl groups, experimentalism, NY punk and wide-eyed, tripped-out romanticism.
Schizophrenically they lurch from haunting piano and voice pieces drenched in avant-garde, cinematic texture, to pheremonal Shangri Las-style garage-band punk and disco, laced with irrational lyrical juxtaposition and sybaritic allusion. Plus you can totally boggle to 'Invisible Cat'.
