Ian Brown

Once the singer of Manchester's 'best-kept secret', the Stone Roses, Ian Brown has been recording solo material since the late 90s, updating the easy 80s style britpop sound of his old band with slick beats and more pronounced vocals.

Its fair to say that Ian Brown has mastered the art of moving on but not moving away; he's still rocking slack-jawed, swaggering vocals of the indie variety and slow-impact rock melodies, but at least he is now incorporating deeper elements of punk and hip hop into the mix.
