At the age of 17, Jordin Sparks was the youngest ever winner of American Idol.
The R&B singer followed her victory with the release of a self-titled debut album, Jordin Sparks in 2007 which subsequently sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide and went Platinum in the U.S. This led to a Grammy nomination and an American Music Award for 'Favorite Artist in the Adult Contemporary Category' in 2008.
