Kelly Rowland rose to fame in the late 1990's as one third of the girl group Destiny's Child along with Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams. Together, the group achieved four major studio albums and four US number-one singles, selling over 50 million records worldwide and becoming the best-selling female group of all time.
In 2002 Rowland sung the vocals on rapper Nelly's track 'Dilemma' which was one of the best selling singles of the year and saw her establish herself as a solo artist. The same year she released her debut solo album Simply Deep in the U.S. which sold over 600,000 copies and reached 2.5 million when it went international.
After a final tour with Destiny's Child in 2005, Rowlamd went back to her solo career and released a second album, Ms. Kelly in 2007 which failed to repeat the success sales of Simply Deep. However, one of the album cuts - the dancefloor filler 'Work' was released as a single soon after and became a top ten hit in the European market.
Recently Rowland has been promoting her latest single, a collaboration with commercial dance king David Guetta called 'When Love Takes Over'.
