One of two of King Khan's brainchilds (or should that be children?), King Khan and the Shrines is a pretty breathtaking amalgamation of soul, jazz and rock, with vocals which owe as much to Aerosmith as they do to Sly and the Family Stone or Jimi Hendrix.
Personifying the kind of retro rock sound that Jet have been pining after their whole career, the music is fast but not furious: indeed, it doesn't want you to jump up and down as much as it wants you to dance.
