Re-inventing songs with reckless abandonment, Mark Ronson's one sterling achievement is that he managed to make a Kaiser Chief record even worse. Now, that takes some doing!

OK, when he sticks to turntablism and producing killer albums he's actually pretty good, after all his handiwork can be seen on the recent Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse master works.

However, when he's making the Smiths sound like the backing music on 'Strictly Come Dancing' we have to wonder what is going on in Ronson land.
