Max Romeo

Know regarded as one of dancehall and dubs earliest pioneers, Max Romeo caused an outcry when he first appeared on the Jamaican reggae scene thanks to his overtly sexual lyrics and rude boy aesthetics.

Maturing into one of the most important figures in the dub, this long-time collaborator with Lee 'Scratch' Perry penned some of the sweetest hits of the 70s and 80s. Not bad for a guy who originally dug ditches on a sugar plantation.
