Mi Ami
A 'drum punk' trio from sunny San Francisco, Mi Ami formed out of the destruction of Dischord's kinetic, percussive dance punk band Black Eyes who disbanded in 2004.
Inspired by dub, free jazz, afro-beat and dance, the band has cut its teeth with a series of underground (and rare as hell) vinyl releases and shows with bands like No Age and Health before finally being snapped up by Quatershack Records in 2008.
Their full-length 'Watersports' was released in February 2009.
