Mogwai

Glaswegian rockers Mogwai developed from a chance meeting at a Ned's Atomic Dustbin gig in 1991, but it would take nearly four years for things to begin in earnest.

Influenced by the likes of Joy Division, Pink Floyd and Slint, they have carved their own niche in British rock, and have since gone on to influence the newer noise rock and progressive bands.

True pioneers in a world of sound-alikes, Stuart Braithwaite and co are a band to be cherished.
