The cult UK band, Ocean Colour Scene have been releasing their unique brand of britpop-esque rock for well more than a decade and are still going strong. With eleven top 20 singles to their name (including the hugely anthemic 'Riverboat Song' and its partner in crime, 'The Day We Caught The Train'), Ocean Colour Scene are a 'dad' band you can be proud to love.
Their rock n' roll credentials aren't to be sniffed at either; admirers include Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, who had a helping hand in assisting the band hit the big time. It is not without irony, then, that their number one album 'Marchin' Already', knocked the iconic 'Be Here Now' off the top spot in the UK charts back in 1997.
