Plasticines

As part of the bébés rockers scene that emereged out of the Parisian gloom a few years ago clad in bright colours and even more attitude than your average Frenchman, if that's possible, Plasticines were labelled a fad and a fashion by the French press. It's true the movement was a bit ridiculous, as children of the BoBos (les bohemians bourgeoisie)picked up guitars and delcared themselves saviours of rock.

While other members of this sect have since fallen by the wayside, Plasticines continue to make glorious disco-pop, and have released albums in Europe and the States. They are perhaps aidied by the fact that they are undeniably beautiful, in the way that only Parisian chic chicks can be, perfectly moue, nonchalantly pouting. However, this is really just a distraction from the pop-tinged disco rock that gets kids filling dancefloors all over France, and perhaps soon, the world.
