The exciting new project of ex-Death From Above 1979 vocalist and drummer, Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains is an alternative indie rock band a la Conor Oberst - i.e. a solo project which references its contributing musicians.
Like Death from Above 1979, Sabestien Grainger & The Mountains pays tribute to a thick and scratchy recording style, through which some blinkered melody shines. Signed to Conor's Saddle Creek imprint, he further widens the berth of eclectic indie that the label favours.
