Probably most famously, Shift is Chris Hoy, a South-African Psy-Trance producer. He has released 3 full-length albums Red Line (Timecode Records, 2003), Excession (Crystal Matrix Records, 2005), and Byte Me (Crystal Matrix Records, 2006). He has joined with fellow South-African producer and friend Slug to create Nexus Media, a successful record label. The two paired up in 2005 under the name Pitch Hikers and released their debut album "Twilight Zone".
