Originally emerging on the late '60s New York underground, psych-rock duo Silver Apples amazed audiences by incorporating home-made synthesisers and sound filters into their performances, along with electronic junk like telegraph keys, radio parts and lab gear.
One half of the Apples revived the project in the late '90s, and the sound remains much the same: fragments of ethereal outer-space pop spun out into long, cosmic jams.
