An icon of the punk movement, Siouxsie Sioux first came to prominence as the female foil to the Sex Pistols' appearance on the infamous Bill Grundy Show in 1976.
Soon forming her own band, The Banshees, they won praise for marrying the punk and gothic aesthetics with music that was both unorthodox and accomplished.
Having split in 1996, Siouxsie went it alone, and has since collaborated with Basement Jaxx and Morrissey.
