Slayer

Forming in 1982, almost no other band has had such a profound and lasting effect on metal than Slayer. From day one they have pioneered a sound that combined Minor Threat and Judas Priest into an aggressive beating that we now call thrash metal.

Probably best known for the genre defining 'Reign in Blood' and 'Seasons in the Abyss' they are still one of most uncompromising bands out there and deserve their place in rock history as one of the bands that really matter.
