Seminal London synthpop band Spandau Ballet were frontrunners of the 1980s New Romantic period, keeping good company with the likes of Duran Duran and the Culture Club. The quiff-wearing quintet comprising Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp, Steve Norman and John Keeble was best known for a string of hits like 'True', 'Gold' and 'To Cut A Long Story Short' until their acrimonious split in 1990.
In 2009, all differences were swept aside when the band reformed for a much-anticipated reunion tour. Age and alopecia might have robbed them of some bouffancy but there's no denying Spandau Ballet its longevity in the pop world. You know it's true-ooh.
