Super Furry Animals

Forming in the early 90s, Cardiff's Super Furry Animals have undergone several changes in direction over the years, from experimental techno to Britpop, Welsh-language revivalists to ambient space rockers.

With Gruff Rhys and Cian Ciaran consumed in side-projects in early 2007, the band somehow managed to put together the 'Hey Venus!' album for their first Rough Trade release.

Widely and rightly regarded as one of the main reasons for Wales' recent artistic revival, the Super Furry's remain at the apex of the musical landscape as true pioneers.
