The Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips are a psychedelic rock band that formed in Oklahoma City, in 1983. Fronted by the ever charismatic Wayne Coyne, the band has constantly reinvented itself through the years.
Famed for extravagant live performances which feature costumes, puppets, video imagery and Coyne's signature bubble, in which he traverses the crowd the band have released a number of classic albums.
With 'The Soft Bulletin' and 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots' the band gained more commercial success, with hits such as 'She Don't Use Jelly' and 'Do You Realise'. In 2009, the band returned to their more heavily psychedelic ways, releasing the double album 'Embryonic', before a remake of the 1973 Pink Floyd record, 'Dark Side of the Moon'.
