The Jesus and Mary Chain
Originally formed in 1984, The Jesus and Mary Chain is effectively the creative core of the Reid brothers, William and Jim, who achieved considerable success throughout the 80s and 90s with a string of groundbreaking albums.
Pioneers of the shoegaze genre, their debut album is the masterpiece 'Psychocandy', featuring the drumming of future Primal Scream man Bobby Gillespie and classic single 'Just Like Honey'.
They split in 1999, but reformed to much acclaim in 2007 to play sold out shows across the UK and US, with a new album planned and a seemingly more gracious approach to playing live.
