When five friends from Cincinnati moved into the same area of Brooklyn, they took it as a sign that they should start making music. It started as a way of letting off steam from their mundane day jobs, and they released their debut LP to little fanfare, before they had even played a gig.
It was their second album in 2003 that pricked up the ears of critics, A&R men and fans alike, earning them shows across the US and Europe, and a deal with Beggars Banquet records.
Now on their fourth release, they have quit those mundane day jobs to become full time musicians, something they may have not even dreamed of a few years ago, but a true modern fairytale of how a band can succeed when they have the raw talent.
