The Ruling Class

Heard The Stone Roses? Thought so. So have these guys. They clearly made such an impression that The Ruling Class decided to do exactly the same thing. So much so that it's actually a little bit freaky. Drumming: same. John Squier riffs: same. Ian Brown vocal style: same. Even the effects are the same.

It's a shame really, because apart from the rather enormous problem of having a sound that so closely resembles a massively famous band its impossible to spot any individual merit - they have a good sound.

If you've never heard The Stone Roses, you'll love them. It's straight ahead, tight, driving rock with great vocals, lyrics, and atmosphere.
