Tommy Sparks
Tommy Sparks is a new electro-indie-pop outfit from Stockholm who is already making a splash on the live circuit. Sparks states that his journey to pop came via hip hop (Kool Moe Dee and Jungle Brothers) and grunge (The Pixies and Sonic Youth).
He played every instrument on his last album (dubbed 'mega-pop') which received the magic touch of Foals and Arctic Monkeys producer Mike Crossey and is about as peppy and hooky as you can get. With current electro-pop artists like Frankmusik, Sam Sparro and Alphabeat doing so well in the charts, you can't help but think Sparks has got it in the bag.

She Got Me Dancing

Stop the press! It's another electro-indie-pop tune with a zany video! Yay! You know that feeling you get when someone says 'it's such a lovely day we must go outside!' and you just want to punch them in the face and head straight for the cinema?
Well that's how I feel when listening to this track. It's soooooo 'catchy' and 'uplifting' it immediately made me want to start listening to some Shackleton-esque malevolent dubstep instead. That said, Fearne and Reggie will probably cream themselves over it come the Sunday Chart Show. 2/5
