Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian rose to fame as part of the 'new acoustic movement' of the early '00s, alongside such acts as Elbow, Doves and Starsailor, and their debut album, 'The Optimist LP' was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize in 2001.

Although their star has waned recently in the wake up the indie and electro explosions, they retain a devoted fanbase across the world, and their fourth album 'Dark on Fire' was released to critical acclaim in late 2007.
