Things to do in Earls Court
A district in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Earls Court is famous for its Exhibition Centre, one of the country's largest indoor arenas and a popular live music venue. It's also within easy walking distance of High Street Kensington, Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall, The National History Museum and the Science Museum which makes it a popular choice among tourists.
Some of the important local venues aside from the Exhibition Centre include Finborough Theatre which hosts small and fringe productions and the Troubadour Club. The Troubadour Club has earned a well-deserved reputation for showcasing emerging talent – it hosted Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello and Jimi Hendrix in the early days of their careers. Earl’s Court is also the hub of the Filipino British community and offers a number of Filipino restaurants, markets and shops
Places to go in Earls Court
Earl's Court Exhibition Centre
This huge space sees everything from boat shows to the likes of U2 strut through its doors. Not the best acoustics but always a home to spectacle be it music, art or guns.
Finborough Theatre
This generally excellent fringe theatre has been reviving some great old and forgotten plays lately. It also puts on great quality new writing and the small upstairs theatre space sits above a beautifully swish wine bar.
Troubadour Club
A place where fine wine and good food rub shoulders with live ska, indie and folk, The Troubadour is a schizopherenic kind of place, but hey, that’s why we love it.
The Kings Head
For a place packed with hotels, conference centres and chain stores, a decent real ale pub is pretty hard to find in Earls Court. In fact The King’s Head is the closest you’re going to get. Pulling a decent pint, and with a pub quiz on a Monday, it’s beloved by visitors and locals alike.
