The smart, definitive guide to Paddington, London

London Paddington

Things to do, events, and what's on in Paddington

About Paddington

Like London Victoria, London Paddington is located in the borough of Westminster and the rail station is the significant feature of the area.  However unlike Victoria, the Paddington area lacks the numerous attractions and historic locations nearby.  The streets surrounding the station are mostly residential although a number of new office complexes have been built in the area recently.

Paddington is situated north of Hyde Park and is a relatively short walk away from Oxford Street, Marylebone and Edware Road, making it better situated for shopping than for taking in the London sights found in other parts of the City of Westminster.

What's on in Paddington

Because the Paddington Station itself is in a largely residential area, most of the events in the area a short ways away from the station.  Nearby, however, are the theatres of the West End, numerous galleries, and Hyde Park which offers various recreational activities from seasonal festivals to horseback riding in the park.
