Vauxhall is primarily a residential and business area based in the South of London with a combination of more gentrified as well as social housing.  This mix due to a fairly recent increase in the area’s popularity as well as its proximity to the Houses of Parliament which has brought a number of civil servants and Parliament members to the area. Vauxhall has recently become an popular with the gay community as well and its tolerant atmosphere has  produced some of the most well-liked nightclubs in London.
