Abstract always do a stirling job at their Rio style Carnival - it's a white and gold ball, Egg will be decked out in carnivalesque finery and the DJ line-up is actually longer than my arm.

They've opened up the whole block for the event - which means Apothecary will be open, plus a big top in the garden (heated obviously).

Tonight's lavish affair is certainly a fine bet for a massive new years eve - if you book early it's 25 quid. If you wait it's 40. And if you chance it on the door, you'll pay even more.
