Arshile Gorky
Tate Modern, Bankside, Southbank, SE1 9TG
The first major retrospective of American twentieth century artist Arshile Gorky to take place in Europe for twenty years.
Presented broadly chronologically, this exhibition seeks to reassess Gorky's work of the 1920s and '30s - in particular, the manner in which he seemed to pre-empt the Abstract Expressionism of the 1940s and '50s.
Until 03.05.10.
