Nigel Hall
Royal Academy, Burlington House, Piccadilly, W1J 0BD
This autumn the Royal Academy continues its recently launched Artists' Laboratories programme with an exhibition of work by Nigel Hall.
The concept behind the series is to allow a Royal Academician the time and the space to exhibit work that diverges from their usual practice.
In this case, Hall - best known for his geometric abstract sculptures - is exhibiting over 100 drawings and sketches of landscapes from across the world.
Whilst showing the same appreciation of form and space as his better known works, these drawings also demonstrate a sensitivity to something a little less carefully controlled.
Until 23.10.11.
