Bang Said The Gun was set up as a London version of the New York Bowery Club where spoken word meets entertainment.

Attracting an ever-increasing crowd of stand-up poetry enthusiasts to the Roebuck in SE1, the night also features the world famous 'Tequila Shot Open Mike Spot'  where the winner (based on audience applause) wins a 10 minute slot at the next BSTG night. In 12 months, over 150 new poets have been given space on the BSTG stage.
