Taking place every five years since 1979, British Art Show at the Hayward is usually one of the most significant and influential shows in the UK contemporary art calendar.

This year Lisa Le Feuvre and Tom Morton curate an exhibition examining the motif of the comet, as well as space and time more genrally. There's work across a range of media - painting, drawing, performance art, video, installation etc - by 39 artists and groups, including Roger Hiorns, Sarah Lucas, Wolfgang Tillmans and The Otoloth Group.
