This looks pretty exciting- five commissioned solo projects come together at Cell Project Space to explore innovations in cinema practices, drawing on the experimental film movement of the 1970s.
The artists in this series use film not as a tool to record or relate a narrative; but rather explore the qualities of the medium itself and the various phases of the production process.
The experimental works incorporate sculpture, installation, cyberspace and -in some cases- collaboration to present a different way of interacting with the pieces produced.
