The much-publicised Damien Hirst survey show takes over Tate Modern this summer, offering the world the chance to reappraise the career of one of the most famous artists in the world.

The general consensus is that, with the world in recession and art beginning to emerge from the shadows of the YBAs, affection for Hirst is waning - his exhibition of paintings at the Wallace Collection was widely panned (notable exceptions being the Stuckists, interestingly enough) - but, as ever, only time will tell.

Until 09.09.12.
