Carrying on the Monday night tradition that Trash invented, Durrr is basically the same deal, without Erol Alkan in charge. He's been replaced by a couple of irritatingly self possessed and knowledgeable young music heads, Rory Phillips and The Lovely Jonjo. Every week they play (with guests) on the decks in the main room and a band plays live in the lounge. Sometimes the band are completely awesome - mostly the eclectic mish mash after party is what makes Durrr stand out.
It's usually a terrible idea to go out on Monday night, get "trashed" and listen to brilliant music all night. Terrible, but beautiful, even somehow perfect. Fortunately tomorrow is the day before you New Year's Eve - so you have an excuse to be completely useless for a full four day period.
Tonight is the end of year party - and they've got a very special guest DJ (did someone say Erol Alkan?) plus the one and only Peaches DJing. Awesome.
