Patchwork Pirates + Kutmah + Shlohmo + Salva
The City Arts And Music Project (The CAMP), 70-74 City Road, Hoxton and Shoreditch, EC1Y 2BJ
Earnest Endeavours are the crew bringing the bass freshness to London. No one is making bookings as forward thinking at the moment. Tonight they're back at the CAMP kicking off an art and music monthly with Kutmah’s re-born Sketchbook night and the certified HIT+RUN screenprint crew.
Now - to the music. Salva is the mastermind behind West Coast freaky bass collective Frite Nite. (Other stars in their stable include Eprom, NastyNasty and B. Bravo). His style is across the board, nodding to juke, funk, electro, dubstep: all slicked with his melodic West Coast synth veneer. He's deliciously indefinable.
Shlohmo produces gently swinging, thump-click hip hop beats. Whilst his productions may be hypnotic, make no mistake, he knows how to rock a party.
Kutmah is collaborating on this monthly series - the DJ, producer and visual artist who launched Sketchbook in LA - now resurrected in London.
Hit+Run, the world leader in live, on-site event screenprinting - will be screenprinting live - so bring your threads to get decorated.
