Cliff + Leonard

Saturday, 26 July 2008 - Saturday, 24 March 2012

Bar Academy Islington, 16 Parkfield Street, Islington, N1 0PS

DJ Music: , Rock, Indie, Pop

How Much: £8.00 (After Midnight) , £6.00 (Before Midnight) , £5.00 (NUS) , £4.00 (Advance Tickets)
Brilliant club night with a miserablist theme, playing downbeat pop, rock and all manner of gloomy tunes. Expect Morrissey, The Cure, Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen... you get the idea - all those marvellously melancholic singers and pop acts that can't help making you feel better.

Feeling Gloomy has proved massively popular with big crowds turning out every Saturday to feel the gloom at the downstairs bar of the Academy, and in-demand festival appearances around the country. The music is excellent and there is a feverishly good atmosphere that you can only get from a double dose of downbeat.

NOTE: a swanky wristband is available for an extra £3 that allows you to saunter upstairs to the cheesy disco 'Club De Fromage', put on by the same team, for a bit of light relief.
