In celebration of Format, the only solely female Photography Agency in British history, seventeen portraits are on display at the National Portrait Gallery.
The Agency is recognised as having made a significant impact on shifting the common perception of marginalised figures and has continuously dismantled stereotypes by photographing men and women in unconventional roles.
