If you ask fans about their favourite dubstep night they won't all name FWD any more, but it's here in Plastic People that the music first evolved from the dark, hollowed-out 2-step garage of Croydon producers like El-B and Horsepower. And in any case, the line-ups are still killer, and Plastic People is still a great little club with one of the best soundsystems in London.
Notably, the night has been important in supporting tangentially related genres (much to the purists' annoyance), so you can expect healthy dosages of UK funky, grime, bassline and wonky on top of the usual crunching dubstep.
