For those of you who might only recognise Janeane Garafalo from blockbusters like The Truth About Cats and Dogs, The Cable Guy and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, be assured - she's made of funnier stuff.
Performing stand-up comedy since the 1980's, Garafalo has worked on hit shows like Saturday Night Live and The Larry Sanders Show - for which she earned an Emmy nomination for her character Paula. She has also been named one of the 'Top 100 Greatest Stand-ups of all Time' by the Comedy Central poll.
Her show this year, full of anti right-wing digs and sarcastic quips on being over 40 and struggling with alcoholism, has been showered with 4 and 5 star reviews in Edinburgh. With support from one of America's fastest rising star's Al Madrigal, a born storyteller, it isn't surprising the Bloomsbury had to add an extra show tonight. Get booking.
