Deller is probably best known for 2001's 'Battle of Orgreave' a recreation of the battle that occurred during the UK miners' strike of 1984. Documentation on this work featured in Deller's winning submission for the 2004 Turner Prize.
Deller's work is generally intensely political (possibly in a not particularly rigorous way) and he often works in collaboration with other artists, musicians, and architects.
