Affectionately known as the Bard of Salford, punk poet John Cooper Clarke has been the mouth-piece of working class Manchester since the late 70s.
One of the first performance poets to be associated with the punk scene, his song 'Evidently Chickentown' became known to a wide audience through its use in the final season of the TV show The Sopranos and in the 2007 film Control.
